 Text[0]="&nbsp;1. After the people had rebelled several times against Moses and Aaron, God told Moses that He would show the people who was to be high priest.";
Text[1]="&nbsp; 2. As God had commanded, Moses asked the head of each tribe, "+speechstr+"Take an almond stick and cut the name of your tribe into it. Bring the stick to the taber­nacle."+speechstr+"";

Text[2]="&nbsp; 3. When each tribe had brought an almond stick, Moses laid the twelve sticks down in the tabernacle before God.";
Text[3]="&nbsp; 4. The next day Aaron"+aposstr+"s stick had sprouted. It even had flowers and ripe fruit. Now all the people knew that God had chosen Aaron to be the High Priest.";
Text[4]="&nbsp; 5. Moses took Aaron's stick and laid it into the Ark of the Covenant to remind the people that Aaron was God's high priest.";
Text[5]="&nbsp; 6. In the 40th year, after leaving Egypt, the children of Israel left Kadesh­Barnea and came into the hot, rocky Wilderness of Zin.";

Text[6]="&nbsp; 7. The people were thirsty but had no water to drink. They complained bit­terly to Moses.";
Text[7]="&nbsp; 8. Moses and Aaron went to the tabernacle. There God told Moses, "+speechstr+"You and Aaron go with the people to the rock and speak to it. Water will come out, and they will have enough water to drink."+speechstr+"";


Text[8]="&nbsp; 9. Moses led the people to the rock. Instead of talking to it, he also hit the rock and said, "+speechstr+"Listen, you rebels, shall we get water for you out of the rock?"+speechstr+"";

Text[9]="&nbsp; 10. Water came gushing out of the rock. There was enough water for all to drink.";
Text[10]="&nbsp; 11. Later God told Moses and Aaron, "+speechstr+"Because you did not obey, you will not enter the Promised Land."+speechstr+"";

Text[11]="&nbsp; 12. When the children of Israel came to Mount Hor, God told Moses to go up the mountain with Aaron and his son Eleazer. Here Aaron died. Eleazer now became high priest in his father's place.";
Text[12]="&nbsp; 13. When Moses and Eleazer came down the mountain by themselves, the people knew that Aaron had died. They mourned for him 30 days.";
Text[13]="&nbsp; 14. The children of Israel then came into a deep valley near the country of Edom. Here it was very rocky, hot and dry.";
Text[14]="&nbsp; 15. The people were hot and uncomfortable. Again they grumbled against God, Moses and Aaron.";
Text[15]="&nbsp; 16. As punishment for their grumbling against Him, God sent poisonous snakes to bite the people. Many of them died.";
Text[16]='&nbsp; 17. The people came to Moses and said,  "We have sinned. We have grumbled against the Lord and against you. Ask God to take the snakes away for us."';

Text[17]="&nbsp; 18. God told Moses to make a bronze snake and to put it on a pole for all the people to see. All who had been bitten and looked at the bronze snake were saved.";
