One spring day, Jesus and His twelve apostles traveled down the road toward Jerusalem. Many other people, too, were going to attend the Feast of the Passover.'; Text[1]=' 2. When they came near to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus said to two of His apostles, "Go into the village. . . There you will find a donkey. . . Untie it and bring it here."'; Text[2]=' 3. The two apostles went and did as Jesus had told them. They found the donkey, untied it, and led it to Jesus.'; Text[3]=' 4. The apostles took off their coats and spread them over the donkey for Jesus to sit on.'; Text[4]=' 5. As Jesus rode along, many people spread their coats on the road.'; Text[5]=' 6. Others cut branches from trees and laid them in the road.'; Text[6]=' 7. Part of the crowd of people marched ahead; others followed after Jesus. They all sang again and again, "Hosanna! Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"'; Text[7]=' 8. Some of the Pharisees in the crowd told Jesus to tell His disciples to be quiet and not to say such things!'; Text[8]=' 9. Jesus answered, "If these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out."'; Text[9]=' 10. When Jesus saw the city of Jerusalem, He became very sad and cried about it. He knew that one day Jerusalem would be destroyed.'; Text[10]=' 11. Jesus told them that the time would come when their enemies would surround them. These enemies would destroy them and their people with them because they would not accept the message of salvation.'; Text[11]=' 12. Jesus rode down the Mount of Olives and up to the city of Jerusalem. The people followed Jesus into Jerusalem. They all waved their branches and sang, "God bless the King Who comes in the name of the Lord! There is peace in heaven And glory on high!"'; Text[12]=' 13. People in the city heard the tramp of feet and the songs of praise. Everyone was asking, "Who is this (man)?"'; Text[13]=' 14. Those with Jesus answered, "This is Jesus, the prophet of Nazareth in Galilee."'; Text[14]=' 15. The people moved slowly thru the busy streets to the Temple. Those with Jesus kept on singing their songs of praise to God. Jesus and the people with Him entered the Temple court.'; Text[15]=' 16. The blind and the lame came to Jesus. He healed them.'; Text[16]=' 17. Seeing the wonders Jesus did, the children began to sing their glad song of praise, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord Hosanna in the highest!"'; Text[17]=' 18. The chief priests and scribes saw what Jesus did. They heard the children singing. They became angry. "Can\'t you hear what these children are saying?" they asked Jesus.'; Text[18]=' 19. Jesus ahswered, "Yes," and He reminded them of the words "Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?"'; Text[19]=' 20. Jesus was pleased with the children. After this He went to Bethany where He stayed.';
