After His resurrection Jesus appeared several times to His disciples and to others. Sunday morning He had shown Himself to the women who had seen the empty grave.'; Text[1]='2. Later that day Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene as she cried at the grave. He told her to tell His disciples, that Jesus is risen from the dead and would meet them in Galilee.'; Text[2]='3. Peter was the first disciple to see Jesus after His resurrection even though only three days earlier Peter had denied Him.'; Text[3]='4. Late Sunday afternoon, Jesus walked with two men on the way to Emmaus. They didn\'t know it was Jesus.'; Text[4]='5. When they sat down to eat that evening Jesus permitted the two Emmaus disciples to know that it was He.'; Text[5]='6. All of the disciples except Thomas had seen Jesus on Sunday evening. But Thomas, too, needed to be convinced that Jesus had risen from the dead.'; Text[6]='7. When Jesus again showed Himself to the disciples a week later, Thomas was there. When Thomas saw Jesus, he said, "My Lord and My God."'; Text[7]='8. Later Jesus came to His disciples at the shore of the lake of Galilee while they were fishing.'; Text[8]='9. After breakfast Jesus asked Peter three times, "Do you love Me?" Peter answered, "You know I love you." Jesus told, him, "Feed my lambs, feed my sheep."'; Text[9]='10. One day Jesus came to the disciples and many others on a high hill. He said to them, "All power in Heaven and on earth has been given to me." "You, then, are to go and make disciples of all the nations and baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to observe all that I have commanded you. . ."'; Text[10]='11. And then Jesus added, "\'Remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the world."'; Text[11]='12. The disciples then went back to Jerusalem. Here Jesus met with them again.'; Text[12]='13. He told the apostles to wait in Jerusalem until they received the Holy Spirit whom the Father had promised.'; Text[13]='14. Then Jesus led them out to the Mount of Olives.'; Text[14]='15. Jesus\' disciples asked Him if this was the time when He was going to restore the kingdom to the Jews.'; Text[15]='16. Jesus answered, "You cannot know times and dates which have been fixed by the Father\'s sole authority."'; Text[16]='17. "But you are to be given power when the Holy Spirit has come to you. You will be witnesses to me, not only in Jerusalem, not only throughout Judea, not only in Samaria, but to the very ends of the earth!"'; Text[17]='18. Jesus raised His arms to bless His disciples. While they watched, Jesus was lifted up till a cloud hid Him from their sight.'; Text[18]='19. Two angels in white clothes stood and asked the disciples, ". . . Why are you standing here looking up into the sky? This very Jesus who has been taken up from you into Heaven will come back in just the same way as you have seen Him go."'; Text[19]='20.
