Why We Must Be Holy

1- Because God’s Son lives with you and in you.

“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; grounded in love”. Ephesians 3:17

“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, I am with you always, [even] unto the end of the world”. Matthew 28:20

Because Jesus lives within you, you must be holy.

2 – Because God’s Spirit lives in you

“The Holy Ghost which dwells in us.” 2Tim. 1:14

When you obeyed the gospel He came to you as a gift to you. “Repent, and be baptized for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 2:38

Because the Holy Spirit lives within you, you must be holy

3 – Because the Kingdom of God lives in you

“And when he was asked of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, He said, the kingdom of God doesn’t come with observation: Nor shall they say, look here! Or, look there! For, the kingdom of God is within you” Luke 17:20-21.

Because the Kingdom of God lives within you, you must be holy.

4 – Because as Christians we are sanctified (set apart)

“But you [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:” (1Pet. 2:9)

“That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.” (Romans 15:16).

For all these reasons we MUST be holy. Are you Holy? Why or why not?
