APOCALYPSE is the Greek word and is in the first paragraph of the Book of Revelation. The word "apocalypse" is from the Latin, which is from the Greek, apokalyptein "uncover, disclose, reveal." The translated word "reveal- " is used about 18 times in the KJV.
